This privacy policy applies to the DataSweeper app (referred to as "Application") for macOS, created by Charles Binet ("Service Provider"). The Application is provided as a paid service intended for use "AS IS".
The Application operates entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:
The Application requires macOS Full Disk Access and Finder Automation permissions solely to scan files on your system and move items to the Trash via Finder. These permissions are used only for the functionality described within the Application and never for data collection.
No data is shared with third parties. The Application does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
The Application does not collect or retain any user data. All file scanning results are held in memory during your session and discarded when the Application is closed. No data is written to external servers or cloud storage.
Since the Application does not collect any personal information from any user, it is safe for use by individuals of all ages. The Application does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application uses the macOS App Sandbox and Hardened Runtime to limit its access to only the permissions you explicitly grant. File operations are performed through macOS Finder to respect system-level protections.
